Yes, I got a curse mark tattoo, and I got it exactly like the one Sasuke has and where he has it (or rather HAD, when he lost it I was like Why, Kishimoto?! WHY?!?!?)
It looks a little faded here, but that's because of the brightness of the flash. If I had taken the picture right after I got it, it would have been dark as hell. This was taken several months after.
People ask me all the time what it means, which is kinda hard to explain to people who don't travel in anime/manga circles. I try to get away with saying it's Japanese, which most people just take, but some still say, "Yeah, but what does it MEAN..."
To me this tat represents many things:
-my love of manga
-my preference of "bad" guys (they are always my favorite characters)
but most of all,
-my desire for that one person who would do anything for you, to save you, no matter what you do or how far you fall...(what Naruto does for Sasuke).
It's kinda funny because after I got it my husband said I was cursed. Our water heater went out, then our fridge died (all about $1700 to replace). He blamed it on me (jokingly of course).
He wasn't too happy when I got it, because it was a visible tattoo and some people are so judgmental. It is my favorite though.
My tattoo artist asked if it was suppose to be tadpoles in a pond or something. I laughed and tried to explain what it was without sounding TOO dorky.
He asked me several times before he got started if I was absolutely sure I wanted it, being that you can see it no matter what I wear basically.
My brother went with me to get it and it hurt like hell. When we were walking out after it was done I told him that it was pretty much the most painful thing I've ever done and he was like, "Seriously?...Because you didn't flinch."
"Well, that's because it wasn't my first tattoo..."
"Yeah, well, that one was done on you NECK..."
I have 3 tattoos (so far).
This one, the one my shoulder that matches my husband's [link] and a tramp stamp on my lower back, which I plan to turn into a Kingdom Hearts tattoo sometime soon, because I'm such a fangirl of that too...
I also got this tattoo, but on my lower abdomen in the left (I didn't want it to be seen by everybody) and I only have the basic three marks w/o the seal around them. I also get the problem with explaining people what it means. I usually just tell them it's a Japanese symbol related to the shinto religion and it refers to the trinity: "heaven, earth and man" found it on the internet In fact, for me the tattoo has the same meaning it does for you : manga, bad guys, true friends/love
This is the most AMAZING tattoo and it really got me when you put my desire for that one person who would do anything for you, to save you, no matter what you do or how far you fall...(what Naruto does for Sasuke). It really shows true friendship and that is really meaningful to me
This is the most AMAZING tattoo ever and I loved when I read my desire for that one person who would do anything for you, to save you, no matter what you do or how far you fall...(what Naruto does for Sasuke). That has a lot of meaning and its awesome
